Saturday Challenge

Thank you Sandi for playing along this week with your GORGEOUS card! The challenge this week is to use paint on your layout, card, or other project.
The sample here is an 8 1/2 x 11 layout where I used paint on my photo to make a border, then added white dots with my Uniball pen (if you are looking for a good white marker, these are the best I have found!) and they are in stock at Paper Wings!

So leave us a comment here on this post showing us a link to YOUR layout using paint! Have a great weekend :)

Fishing=Happiness

Hi All!  Just checking in to say hello and see how everyone is doing.  It's been a busy few weeks for me not only at the store, but at home as well.  As you can see by the photos I posted, it has been happy as well.  For those of you who know the long struggle my family and I have had during these past 8 months, you know how amazing these photos are.  My father in law's dream of taking his grandson fishing finally came true.  It was difficult to take these photos through my teary eyes because this was something I'm sorry to admit, I never thought I would see.  These two have a very special relationship and watching them together was such a major treat.  These are the moments that we live for.  Please take a moment to look around you and love and appreciate all of those special people in your life.  They are not here forever so take time to make a memory (and of course scrapbook it!).

Now, back to the store.  We had our second Layout of the Month this past Sunday and I loved what everyone brought in to show.  You ladies do a wonderful job and I want to thank everyone who attended.  We are open right now only Saturday and Sunday, however beginning April 14th we will be adding Thursday and Friday to our hours.  I did get a message of sorts via the website this morning.  It didn't have any contact information and simply said "You really need to update your website".  I'm not quite sure what information they were not able to find and without contact information, I can't ask : )  The class schedule is listed for the months of April and May, photos are also available.  We also have a list of new products that have come in.  If you are not on our mailing list, you will miss out on a great deal of announcments so please be sure to visit our site at http://www.paperwingsnj.com/ and click on the "join our mailing list" icon to add your email address.

So, just a reminder, We are available via email at thegirls@paperwingsnj.com, through our facebook group page, by calling the store at 609-848-9093 during business hours, or by my cell (which is on the store answering machine) 609-290-1205.  Please let us know any questions or anything you have.

I hope you all have an amazing week and look forward to seeing you at the store.

Cherish Your Dreams

At Paper Wings, we love to find fun new ways to make our own embellishments out of supplies we already have or unexpected household items!
For instance, this flower was made from coffee filters! Just use your scallop circle punch to punch out 8-10 pieces, crumple them up, spray with a little glimmer mist or Perfect Pearls Mist (in stock at Paper Wings), add a brad or flower center, and voila! you have a beautiful flower to embellish a layout or card!
