Janet's "Little Girl"

Yesterday, we had the pleasure of sharing a two page layout by Audrey using the Echo Park Little Girl line. Now today we will be sharing a layout and a card by Janet, using the same paper line, with a completely different look!
While Audrey went with a solid background and used the patterned paper in bits and pieces, Janet went with an all over patterned paper effect.
Both stunning choices and shows you how versatile this paper line is and how you can use it for so many different occassions!
Check out Janet's blog, if you scroll down a bit you will see that she handmade the amazing flowers on her layout!

Janet's card also uses Echo Park Little Girl, along with this beautiful trim by Maya Road, which is available in 3 different colors at Paper Wings!
If you are an Echo Park fan, don't forget, in addition to Little Girl, we also have Springtime, Playground and a limited supply of Wintertime, Everybody Loves Christmas and Happy Halloween Echo Park papers in stock now at Paper Wings!

A Challenge For Ya!

So this week, we would like to see you use a "ruffled or pleated ribbon" technique on your layout, card or other papercraft project.
Here is a sample for you!
On the right hand side, you'll see a bit of ribbon that is "ruffled". I accomplished this by using a strip of red line tape and ruffling the ribbon a bit as I stuck it down. A fun technique to add a bit of texture to your project! Let's see what you can do!
Colleen is off at a crop today and I'm not sure how to set up the Mr. Linky (I'm so NOT the technical one in the family!) so just leave a comment here with a link to your project!
Thanks for playing along!
And if you're looking for something to do today, remember the store is closed but Colleen is vending at the Toys for Tots crop at the Ocean Acres Community Center, stop by and say HI if you are out and about!
Enjoy your weekend!

Speaking of the Big Shot......

Since my lovely sister opened the door to discuss her love of the Big Shot, I thought what better time to let everyone know the great special I have going on.  I was able to get my hands on the new Tim Holtz inspired Vagabond Machine.  For those of you who are not familiar with this machine, it is the replacement for the Electric Big Shot.  It's powerful and versitile.  It can cut cardstock, chipboard, grungeboard, and so much more.  Here is a little description from the company:

"Resembling a well-traveled suitcase on the outside, the Vagabond Machine easily opens up to reveal a portable yet powerful machine that takes you to imaginative new places. Upon closer examination, the Vagabond impresses for its uncanny ability to effortlessly cut and emboss many different materials and thicknesses. Can you think of anything better to bring on your creative journey?"
So here is the really exciting part, the listing price for this item is normally $249.99.
I'm running a tax day special until April 15th for
$199.00
Call or email today if you are interested.  Shipping is available!
Be Well- Colleen

Lucky...

I was feeling a little crafty last night and made this layout for a challenge. Journaling reads "Lucky 2 Have A Sister Like U". And how true this statement is! I am one lucky girl to have such an awesome family and scrapbooking is a great way to document these relationships. I love this picture of me and Colleen with the sunset in the background and had lots of fun creating this layout.
See the two hearts in the bottom left hand corner that are part of the little embellishment cluster? Guess what I used to make them? If you guessed Wawa coffee sleeves, then you were right! I die cut them with my Sizzix Big Shot and Sizzix Primitive Hearts die. Painted on a little Tim Holtz Embossing Crackle Paint and added a dash of Diamond Dust for a little sparkle.
That's one of the MANY things I love about my Big Shot,  you can use it to die cut so many different things from paper to fabric to metal! Love it! Don't have a Big Shot? Just let us know and we can order one for you! It's one of those "must have" tools that I can't create without!
Thanks for stopping by today.
See you at Paper Wings!

Saying Goodbye to Winter Challenge

Hello Bloggers!  So after a brief hiatus, the Saturday Night Challenge is back!  I'm so excited that tomorrow is the beginning of Daylight Savings Time! It always makes me feel like it is the official end of winter. This was the inspiration for this weeks SNC. Your challenge, should you choose to accept it, is to say goodbye to winter. Please create a winter themed layout as one last goodbye to the winter of 2011!  So break out the last of the snowy goodness and get to work. This weeks winner will be receiving a packet of our beautiful Prima Flowers as a hello to spring.   Deadline for the project is midnight Friday March 18th.  Please use the mister linky below to link your blog posting with your entry.  If you don't have a blog, never fear, I'll post for you.  Just email me a photo of your project with your name and project description and I'll post for you. Thanks for playing along and we can't wait to see you all at the store!

Echo Park Little Girl

I just LOVE the Little Girl line from Echo Park, BUT since I have a little boy in my life :) I decided to make a card rather than a scrapbook page to share today! Although, these papers can be used for Easter pictures including boys and since I am a sucker for all things girlie in the scrapbooking world, I have found ways to incorporate lots of this kind of stuff into my boy layouts over the past few years! I think when they are little you can still get away with it *wink*!
Stop by Paper Wings to check out the full line along with lots of other new products that arrived this week! Remember, for the month of March we are open on Saturday and Sunday only (shop closed on March 26th, but you can find us at the Ocean Acres Community Center for the Toy Drive Fundraiser Crop).
Happy Weekend!

They're alive......

Hi all. I am happy to report that my sister and I are are back among the living. It was a long haul and I can't remember a time when I or Nora Anne have ever been that sick : /. I want to send a special thanks to Cherie and Kim who totally bailed us out down at the Flanders and mad the weekend a success for us. We don't know what we would do without them. We hope all that attended SAGA had a wonderful time. As usual, Lila and Charise hosted an amazing event. If you have never attended, think about doing so next year. Well along with feeling better I had some other wonderful news. Well, not me but a very close friend. Although I can cannot share the details, let's just say that a few prayers and good old fashioned faith have brought happiness once again! It was because of this, I was inspired to make this card for her. Her faith amazes me and I count myself lucky to have her in my life. So I made her a little something:

This was made using Websters Pages Waiting for Santa. A little reminder that many Christmas lines can be used in other ways. I used various colors of Distress Inks and a Martha Stewart edge punch on the front. The stamps featured are from the Unity Stamp Company and also Ippity by Unity. I just love their images and sentiments. We carry many Unity stamps at the store so stop on by and pick one up! Hope you all are having a wonderful week and we hope you stop by the store for our opening on Saturday. Be well!
