HAPPY MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND!
Happy Saturday everyone and best wishes for an amazing kick off to the 2011 summer season.  We are so excited here at the store because as some of you already know, we are located on beautiful Long Beach Island in NJ.  It is a great little town and the population explodes for the summer season.  So what are your plans for this weekend?  Bar-b-que with the family? Hitting the beach?  Just be sure to have your camera and get great shots of this amazing weather whatever you choose to do.  I do have a little announcement to make.  For the time being, due to lack of interest, I will be suspending the Saturday Challenge.  Thanks to all of you who have participated in the past and my idea is to have it begin again in the early fall.  However, I will be running some monthly blog candy type giveaways so be sure to check back often.  There is so much great product out there right now and with summer CHA coming up, I bet there will be so much more.  We did get the opportunity to meet some great people at the Somerset NJ Scrapbook Expo.  Among them were Dom Mahoney from the Teresa Collins Stampmaker. His demo was amazing and I had no idea what this machine was capable of until seeing it.  You may be seeing "An evening featuring Teresa Collins" at the store sometime soon!!!  Also, just in are the new Sew Easy large piercing heads.  If you haven't seen them yet, scoot over to http://www.weronthenet.com/ to check them out.  They make sewing on your page "Sew Easy"!!!! And how about those Glubers from Cosmo Cricket!  I love them and they are the hot new item at the store.  Even those who are flower making challenged such as myself can make beautiful, hand made flowers to use on layouts, cards, or even hair and clothing accessories.  I love them.  So if you stop by here, take a second to leave us a comment and let us know what of your favorite tools of the trade are, new or old.  Sometimes the old reliables are the best!  Again from us here at Paper Wings, have a wonderful Memorial Day weekend and please take a moment to thank a vet for keeping our country the best in the world!  Happy weekend and god bless!

Dang, I am sorry I didn't participate in the challenges more. I really wanted to do the tool one and I still might. I thought that was a great idea!

I really like using all my tools, but my favorites tend to be the spellbinders dies and all my paper punches. I received my cupcake border punch and will post a card soon so you can see how I used it. Thanks!

I've been really into my punches lately, but I absolutely couldn't scrapbook without dimensional adhesive....glue dots, foam squares, paper glaze...I love them all! (Also, love the new Glubers...after all they're REALLY big glue dots!)
